Who makes Gucci perfume

Coty, until further notice. The house Guccio Gucci founded in Florence in 1921, owned today by Kering, has never made a fragrance itself; Procter and Gamble made them until Coty bought its fragrance business in a deal completed on October 1, 2016, and it was Coty that launched Guilty Absolute, Bloom and the Flora Gorgeous line. On July 8, 2026 it was announced that Coty leaves a year before its contract ends and that L'Oreal takes over Gucci Beauty on July 1, 2027 under a fifty-year licence. For a buyer in Muscat that means the bottles on the shelf stay as they are until at least mid 2027, and what happens after that to lines that were already dropped, Rush and Gucci Oud among them, nobody knows.

As for perfumers, Gucci does not name them on its pages and Coty sometimes does in press releases. We name Alberto Morillas for Guilty Absolute because three outlets reported it from Coty in 2017, Michel Almairac for Rush and Ilias Ermenidis for Gucci Oud because several independent databases agree, and nobody for Flora by Gucci or Guilty Black because we found no agreement. Gucci's notes are short lists, three materials at times, and we quote the house before ourselves.

Is there a Gucci store in Oman?

Not for perfume, as far as we found. The Opera Galleria directory names Patek Philippe, Mouawad and Lalique and not Gucci, the Mall of Oman tenant page does not list it, while Gucci Beauty has no site that sells to Oman. What exists is distribution: Ounass Oman ships about fifty Gucci Beauty products from inside the country at product-page prices in rials, and it is the only source we quote. Independent shops in Muscat sell some of the same bottles for less and claim no authorisation from Coty; we leave their numbers out.

Why four of the five cannot be bought in Oman

Because Gucci changes creative directors and buries each one's perfumes. Rush is from the Tom Ford years, Flora by Gucci from the Frida Giannini years, Guilty Black and Gucci Oud from the end of them, and Alessandro Michele, who arrived in 2015, rebuilt the shelf around Bloom, Guilty Absolute and Flora Gorgeous, followed by Sabato De Sarno and then Demna in 2025. The result on Ounass Oman today: Guilty Absolute and Oud Intense are there, and Rush, the original Flora, Guilty Black and Gucci Oud are all absent. Rush is still made and sold in Europe; Guilty Black is sold under a new name; the original Flora and Gucci Oud we found at no approved platform in the Gulf. So for those four, our versions are not the cheaper route to the original in Oman; they are the available one.

The five, with the MOJ versions

1. Rush

The one that stops strangers. Rush launched in 1999 as an eau de toilette, in Tom Ford's years at the house, credited to Michel Almairac, in a square red plastic bottle that looks like a cassette and like no women's perfume bottle before it. The classic pyramid is freesia, peach, coriander and gardenia up top, jasmine, rose and orris root in the heart, vanilla, patchouli and vetiver in the base; current retail copy writes bergamot and peony instead of peach and freesia, a conflict we report rather than settle. It is a creamy, dense floral at a volume nobody makes any more. Neither Ounass Oman nor Faces in the UAE lists it; the European version sells for about 98 euros for 50 ml. Our Rush follows the classic pyramid with the freesia, peach and gardenia, adds musk to the base and is available at the moment in 100 ml only at OMR 6.500; the 30 and 50 ml are unavailable.

2. Snake Voice

The leather. Guilty Absolute pour Homme launched in 2017 as an eau de parfum by Alberto Morillas with Alessandro Michele, and Coty's words are a leather accord, goldenwood, which is Nootka cypress extract, three patchoulis and vetiver; Ounass lists it as leather up top, patchouli and cypress in the heart, vetiver and goldenwood in the base. It is the darkest men's Gucci on the shelf, raw leather and earthy patchouli in a hip-flask bottle, and one of the four in this guide that does not wear at a July noon. Ounass Oman lists the 90 ml at OMR 62.900, available, and the UAE price is AED 600. Our Snake Voice keeps the leather and patchouli heart and the vetiver and goldenwood base, adds pink pepper, bergamot, orange blossom and cedar that are not in the house's words, and all three sizes are available. A note on the name: Gucci sells a different fragrance called The Voice of the Snake, an oud, patchouli and saffron scent from The Alchemist's Garden, at OMR 152 on Ounass Oman; ours does not read that one, it reads Guilty Absolute.

3. G Flora W

The daytime floral. Flora by Gucci is the original from 2009, an eau de toilette launched in Frida Giannini's years, followed by an eau de parfum in 2010, in a hexagonal bottle with a black ribbon. The house's list for the eau de parfum is citrus, mandarin and peony up top, osmanthus and rose in the heart, patchouli, sandalwood and pink pepper in the base, and it names no perfumer. It is not Flora Gorgeous Gardenia; that is a different fragrance from 2021 built on pear blossom, gardenia and brown sugar in a pink lacquered bottle, and it is what you find on the shelf today at OMR 54.500 for 50 ml and OMR 75.500 for 100 ml on Ounass Oman. The original Flora we found at neither Ounass Oman nor Faces, and the databases call it discontinued. Our G Flora W follows the peony, mandarin, osmanthus and rose, adds jasmine and musk, and it is the one in this guide for a Muscat daytime when bigger florals get heavy. All three sizes are available.

4. Black Guilty

The one that changed its name. Guilty Black pour Homme launched in 2013 as an eau de toilette in green glass inside a black metal frame, and the house lists lavender, orange flower and patchouli today, naming no perfumer; the longer retail pyramid adds lemon, coriander, neroli, cedar and amber. It is the clean daytime Guilty, not the night one. For some years it has been sold as Guilty Essence pour Homme with the same formula, and some shops print 2011 as its year, which is the date of the parent Guilty, not this edition. Ounass Oman lists it under neither name; in the UAE, Faces lists it as Guilty Essence at AED 390 for 50 ml and AED 520 for 90 ml. Our Black Guilty follows the longer pyramid, lavender, lemon and coriander, then orange blossom and neroli, then patchouli, cedar, amber and musk, and it is the easiest wear in this guide. The 50 ml alone is available at the moment, at OMR 4.300.

5. G Oud

The Gulf one. Gucci Oud launched in June 2014 as an eau de parfum, at Dubai Duty Free before anywhere else, credited to Ilias Ermenidis, and the house's words are pear, raspberry and saffron up top, Bulgarian rose and orange flower in the heart, oud, patchouli and amber musk in the base. Oud Intense followed a year or two later, sources split between 2015 and 2016, with the same opening and natural oud oil in the base; that second one is what remains on the shelf, at OMR 80.700 for 90 ml on Ounass Oman, available, and AED 770 in the UAE. The first Gucci Oud we found at no approved platform. Our G Oud sits between the two: the pear, raspberry and saffron opening from the original, oud, rose and patchouli in the heart and a base that adds the leather, incense and sandalwood that reviewers, not the house, describe in Oud Intense. It is the one in this guide for Eid and weddings, and all three sizes are available at the cheapest price in the guide.

What the originals cost in Oman

Gucci Beauty publishes no price list for Oman, so the rial figures are Ounass Oman product pages, read this week: Guilty Absolute pour Homme 90 ml at OMR 62.900; Oud Intense 90 ml at OMR 80.700; Flora Gorgeous Gardenia 50 ml at OMR 54.500 and 100 ml at OMR 75.500; The Voice of the Snake 100 ml at OMR 152. Rush, the original Flora by Gucci, Guilty Black and Gucci Oud are not listed in Oman at all, and in the UAE only Guilty Black under its new name. Across the border the same bottles are AED 520 to 770 at Ounass and Faces, which is OMR 54 to 81, so Oman pays no premium where the bottle exists.

Bloom, the 2017 tuberose that is Gucci's most prominent women's fragrance today, has no interpretation on this store, and neither do Guilty pour Femme, the original Guilty pour Homme from 2011, Guilty Elixir, Flora Gorgeous Gardenia, Memoire d'une Odeur or anything from The Alchemist's Garden. How to choose between them

For the woman who wants what the daytime wears, G Flora W; for the one who wants the scent people ask about, Rush, in its large size only. For men, Black Guilty for the office and Snake Voice for the evening, and they never compete for the same hour. G Oud is for either, for Eid, weddings and majlis nights, and it is the only one of the five that wears on the dishdasha rather than the skin.

On size, 50 ml on G Flora W, because it gets used; 30 ml first on Snake Voice and G Oud, because leather and oud divide people. On weather, because Muscat is not Florence: G Flora W is the only one that works at a July noon, Black Guilty comes next and the other three are October to March scents, two sprays before the cool months and four after. Practical rules from character, not longevity figures in hours.
