Best Dior Perfumes in Oman
Article summary: Dior closed its online store in Oman, the Miss Dior on the shelf changed in August 2026, and the Dior Homme Intense you buy today is the 2011 edition rather than the 2007. The eleven below are what MOJ carries in Oman as interpretations of the house, from Sauvage to Oud Ispahan, with the perfumer behind each where it can be verified, what can be said truthfully about the originals' prices in the Sultanate, and MOJ versions from OMR 2.500.
- Dior's fragrances are wholly owned by LVMH rather than licensed, unlike YSL, whose fragrances are made by L'Oréal under licence.
- Francis Kurkdjian took over perfume creation at the house in October 2021, succeeding François Demachy, and is credited with Miss Dior Parfum 2024, Dior Homme Parfum 2025 and the Miss Dior Eau de Parfum of 2026.
- Dior Beauty's Oman website now shows a single message: it no longer operates in Oman, and it points to the boutique at Mall of Oman.
- Fahrenheit 32 is discontinued, and our interpretation is one of the few remaining ways to reach it.
- MOJ versions in Oman run OMR 2.500 to 11.000, with nine of the eleven available in every size.

Who makes Dior perfume, and who composes it
Unlike several of the big houses, Dior's fragrances are not a licence. Parfums Christian Dior was founded in 1947 with Miss Dior, run by Serge Heftler-Louiche, a friend of the designer; Moët & Chandon began buying it in 1968, it became part of LVMH in 1987, and the same group took control of the fashion house in 2017. Perfume and couture sit under one owner. The clearest contrast is YSL, whose fragrances are made by L'Oréal under licence from Kering, which owns the name. That difference explains some of Dior's pricing and some of its stability.
Composition has had two names in the last two decades. François Demachy joined the house in 2006 as perfumer-creator after years at Chanel, and is behind Sauvage, Sauvage Elixir, the private collection, Miss Dior 2017 and 2021, and the Dior Homme editions from 2011 onward; he retired in 2021. On 8 October 2021 Francis Kurkdjian was announced as perfume creation director in succession, while keeping his own house, which LVMH has owned since 2017. To him so far: J'adore L'Or 2023, Sauvage Eau Forte 2024, Miss Dior Parfum 2024, Dior Homme Parfum 2025, and the Miss Dior Eau de Parfum that reached shelves in August 2026. Any article that says Kurkdjian reformulated Miss Dior in 2021 is wrong; that was Demachy.
The man himself was born in Granville in 1905, founded his house in 1946 on avenue Montaigne with Marcel Boussac's backing, showed his first collection on 12 February 1947, and died in October 1957. None of the eleven below is his work; the oldest, Fahrenheit, came thirty years after his death.
Three things that changed on the shelf and nobody caught
First, Miss Dior. The eau de parfum sold since August 2026 is Kurkdjian's composition on Centifolia rose absolute, vanilla, tonka, milky sandalwood and patchouli, with a houndstooth bow. Most writing about the best Dior perfumes still describes the 2021 fruity floral by Demachy, which the house no longer shows. Second, Oud Rosewood from the private collection: Dior's page today describes it as oud, Atlas cedar and guaiac and marks it new, while its 2020 launch pyramid was raspberry, quince and milky sandalwood. We will not say it was reformulated, because Dior has not said so. Third, the dates: the Dior Homme Intense you buy is the 2011 edition rather than 2007, and the Dior Homme Sport you buy is the 2021 edition rather than 2008, and any article printing the earlier date against the later juice is telling you it never opened the brand's page.
The private collection, and why it costs twice as much
La Collection Privée grew from Hedi Slimane's 2004 trio, Bois d'Argent, Eau Noire and Cologne Blanche, was expanded by Demachy in 2010, and became the house's exclusive line sold in its boutiques and on its site rather than through retailers. Oud Ispahan, Purple Oud and Oud Rosewood here are from it, as are Gris Dior and Ambre Nuit, which we do not interpret. In the UAE a 100ml bottle sells at AED 1,400 and a 200ml at AED 1,990 on the brand's site, roughly double Sauvage or Miss Dior. That is why our three oud interpretations sit differently from the rest: the gap between them and their originals is far larger than for the mainline.
The eleven, with the MOJ versions
1. Sauvage
The most searched Dior fragrance in Oman by a wide margin. The eau de toilette launched in 2015, composed by François Demachy, and the house's own page gives it as peppery Calabrian bergamot, then Sichuan pepper and lavender, over ambroxan, resinous elemi and woods. The oft-repeated line that it is the world's best-selling men's fragrance is a brand claim rather than an independent figure, so we settle for most searched. Our version matches the house pyramid closely and all three sizes are available.
Top: Calabrian bergamot, pepper, elemi
Heart: Sichuan pepper, lavender, pink pepper, geranium
Base: Ambroxan, cedarwood, labdanum, patchouli
2. D Homme Intense
The second most searched Dior fragrance in Oman, ahead even of the original Dior Homme. The date needs care: Dior Homme Intense first appeared in 2007, but what sells today is the 2011 re-edition by Demachy, on lavender, Tuscan iris, Ecuadorian ambrette and Virginia cedar, and Dior's UAE page shows exactly that pyramid. Most writing about it prints the 2007 date on the 2011 fragrance. Ours is built on the 2011 edition and all three sizes are available.
Top: Lavender, bergamot, pear
Heart: Iris, ambrette, violet
Base: Virginia cedar, vetiver, vanilla, leather
3. Miss Dio
Here you need to know which Miss Dior you mean, because the name has carried several. The 1947 original was a green floral chypre, credited by Dior to Paul Vacher, with historians adding Jean Carles. Then Miss Dior Chérie in 2005 by Christine Nagel, revised by Demachy in 2011 and renamed Miss Dior in 2012. Then the 2017 eau de parfum by Demachy on Grasse rose, pink pepper, rosewood and patchouli, then the fruitier 2021 version, also Demachy. Then Miss Dior Parfum in 2024 by Kurkdjian, and finally the August 2026 eau de parfum by Kurkdjian on Centifolia rose absolute, vanilla, tonka, milky sandalwood and patchouli, which is what the house sells now. Ours is built on the 2017 reading: rose and pink pepper over patchouli and rosewood. Only the 100ml is available at present, at OMR 6.500.
Top: Blood orange, mandarin, pink pepper
Heart: Rose, peony, lily of the valley
Base: Patchouli, musk, vanilla, rosewood
4. Oud Isphahan
The best known thing in the private collection across the Gulf, from 2012 by Demachy. Dior describes it as oud wood smoke embellished with red Damascena rose, on labdanum, Indonesian patchouli, Laotian oud and sandalwood. It is the fragrance that understood Gulf oud wants rose rather than sugar. Ours follows that build with saffron, leather and papyrus added, and all three sizes are available.
Top: Rose, saffron, bergamot
Heart: Rose, labdanum, patchouli
Base: Oud, sandalwood, papyrus, leather
5. D Homme Sport
Four editions have carried the name, in 2008, 2012, 2017 and 2021, all by Demachy. The one on sale is the 2021, an eau de toilette on Reggio di Calabria bergamot, elemi, pink pepper, frankincense and a woody amber base, and Dior's UAE page shows that pyramid specifically. Demachy described it as carrying the punch of a boxer's uppercut. Ours is built on the 2021, is the cheapest men's pillar here, and all three sizes are available.
Top: Bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, ginger
Heart: Elemi, black pepper, iris
Base: Amberwood, cedarwood, vetiver, musk
6. Fahrenheit
The oldest fragrance here, from 1988, and the one people know who know no other Dior. Sicilian mandarin over violet over leather and woods, the fragrance that made a faint petrol note something men would wear. Composition is credited to Jean-Louis Sieuzac, with co-credits disputed between sources, so we name no one else. Ours is built on the original, and only the 100ml is available at present, at OMR 8.600.
Top: Mandarin, lemon, hawthorn, nutmeg
Heart: Violet leaf, honeysuckle, jasmine
Base: Leather, vetiver, cedarwood, patchouli, musk
7. Purple Oud
Also from the private collection, 2018, by Demachy. Dior sums it up in four notes, oud, saffron, pink pepper and sweet orange, and calls it a woody and spicy purple silhouette. It is lighter than Oud Ispahan and less rosy, so if you found that one heavy, this is the one to try. Ours adds rose and orris in the heart and vanilla in the base, and all three sizes are available.
Top: Saffron, bergamot, pink pepper
Heart: Rose, patchouli, orris
Base: Oud, amber, vanilla, sandalwood, musk
8. Sauvage Elixir
The denser Sauvage, from 2021 by Demachy, and the house calls it an elixir rather than an eau de parfum. Grapefruit with cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom, then a lavender essence made to order from Nyons in France, over rich woods, an ambery accord, Haitian vetiver and patchouli. It is Sauvage for evenings and winter rather than for the day. Ours matches the build and all three sizes are available.
Top: Cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, grapefruit
Heart: Lavender, licorice, Sichuan pepper
Base: Amber, sandalwood, patchouli, Haitian vetiver
9. Girl Poison
Our product name inverts the original: Dior calls it Poison Girl, from 2016 by Demachy, and it is not Hypnotic Poison from 1998 as the name might suggest. The difference is in the notes. Poison Girl is bitter orange and Grasse and Damascus rose over vanilla, tonka and almond, while Hypnotic Poison is jasmine, bitter almond and vanilla. Ours carries the bitter orange, the rose and the bitter almond, so it is plainly Poison Girl. It is the cheapest fragrance on this list and all three sizes are available.
Top: Bitter orange, Sicilian orange, bergamot
Heart: Rose, orange blossom, jasmine
Base: Vanilla, tonka bean, bitter almond, amber
10. Fahrenheit 32
The one that is no longer sold. Launched in 2007 and credited to Demachy, an eau de toilette on orange blossom, vanilla and vetiver, which is to say a white, sweet Fahrenheit in place of the petrol and leather. It is discontinued and absent from Dior's stores, so our interpretation is one of the few remaining ways to reach that character. All three sizes are available.
Top: Mandarin, neroli, bergamot
Heart: Orange blossom, tuberose, jasmine
Base: Vanilla, ambergris, cedarwood, musk
11. Rose Oudwood
And here is something you will not read elsewhere. Oud Rosewood from the private collection launched in 2020 by Demachy on raspberry, quince, milky sandalwood, oud and rosewood, but Dior's page today describes it as three intertwined precious woods, oud, Atlas cedar and guaiac, and marks it new. We do not say it was reformulated, because Dior has not said so, but its current description differs from its launch pyramid. Ours is a classic rose-oud reading with saffron and Turkish rose, closer to the name than to either version. All three sizes are available.
Top: Bergamot, saffron, pink pepper
Heart: Turkish rose, geranium, jasmine
Base: Oud, sandalwood, amber, musk
What the originals cost in Oman
The honest answer: there is no official figure. Dior Beauty closed its website in Oman, and the page now shows a single message that the site no longer operates in the Sultanate, pointing instead to the house's boutique on level two of Mall of Oman. There is no official price list in rials, and Ounass Oman does not carry Dior Beauty. What can be documented from product pages in the Sultanate is thin: Sauvage Eau de Parfum 60ml at OMR 39.900 at Centrepoint Oman. The rest of what appears in a search for the Sauvage price in Oman is marketplaces and independent shops that claim no authorisation from the house, so we do not quote their figures, and we would warn you that the gap between them and the official UAE price can exceed a third on the same bottle.
The nearest reference is Dior's official UAE pricing, since Gulf buyers cross-shop: Sauvage EDT from AED 425 for 60ml and 595 for 100ml, Fahrenheit from AED 425 for 50ml, Dior Homme Intense from AED 485 for 50ml, Dior Homme Sport from AED 432 for 75ml, Miss Dior EDP from AED 580 for 50ml, and the private collection at AED 1,400 for 100ml and 1,990 for 200ml. Converted approximately, that is roughly OMR 45 to 210 a bottle. Ours run OMR 2.500 to 11.000, and all of them sit in the Dior collection.
The Dior perfumes you will not find here
Gris Dior from the private collection is the biggest absence, searched for in Oman more often than Oud Ispahan itself, and we have no interpretation of it. Nor do we carry the original Dior Homme, Kurkdjian's 2025 Dior Homme Parfum, J'adore or Dior Addict, all of which have real demand in the Sultanate. If one of those is what you came for, the boutique at Mall of Oman is the only place we can send you with confidence. For a comparison with another house on the same store, we have a separate guide to the best Tom Ford perfumes in Oman.
How to choose between them
For a man who wants the most famous, Sauvage; for evenings, Sauvage Elixir; for quiet elegance, D Homme Intense; for daytime and sport, D Homme Sport; for the classic, Fahrenheit. For a woman who wants the safe answer, Miss Dio; for the sweetest and cheapest, Girl Poison. For oud, Oud Isphahan if you want the rose, Purple Oud if you want it lighter, Rose Oudwood if you want Turkish rose. And Fahrenheit 32 for anyone who wants what is no longer sold.
On size, 30ml first on the three ouds, since they are heavy in character and not for everyone, and 100ml on Sauvage and D Homme Intense if you already know the original, where it is cheaper by a wide margin. If you are buying a gift and do not know the recipient's taste, Sauvage for a man and Miss Dio for a woman are the two choices that do not miss in Oman, because they are searched for far more than anything else.
A word on weather, because Oman is not Paris. The three ouds, Sauvage Elixir and D Homme Intense all grow stronger in heat, so two sprays are enough from May to September and four in winter. Sauvage, D Homme Sport and Fahrenheit 32 are the best suited to summer daytime, because their light citrus builds do not turn heavy in humidity. Girl Poison and Miss Dio sit between the two, working for daytime in winter and evenings in summer. These are not longevity figures measured in hours, just a practical rule from each fragrance's character.
