Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man: Why Oman Buys It

Article Summary: Club de Nuit Intense Man is a 2015 eau de toilette from Armaf, the flagship brand of Sterling Perfumes, a Dubai family company founded in 1998 by Ali Asgar Fakhruddin that now sells in more than 130 countries: pineapple, blackcurrant, lemon, apple and bergamot over birch, jasmine and rose on musk, ambergris, patchouli and vanilla, in a black bottle with a chain and medallion. Reviewers from Basenotes to Bespoke Unit call it the most popular Creed Aventus alternative in the world, and Beautyworld Middle East named it Consumer Fragrance of the Year in 2022; no perfumer is credited and Creed has never taken public action over it. It is searched about 580 times a month in Oman under two spellings, more than any other Armaf bottle, and a Muscat retailer listed the 105 ml at OMR 11.500 on sale and 17.000 at full price in October 2026, against AED 1,399 for Creed Aventus at Faces. MOJ's reading, Club de Nuit Intense Man A, is OMR 2.500, 3.300 and 5.500, every size available on October 28, 2026.

  • Armaf is a Dubai brand, not a French one: Sterling Perfumes makes it in the UAE, started with 20 staff and 250 bottles a day in 1998 and now claims more than 250,000 items a day.
  • The Club de Nuit line has grown to more than twenty bottles since 2015, from Milestone (2019) and Sillage (2020) to the Parfum (2022), the Extrait and Extreme Edition (2025) and Overdose and Bling Gold Edition (2026).
  • Faces in the UAE lists the 105 ml at AED 170 and the Limited Edition Parfum at AED 610; no Armaf shop or counter of its own exists in Oman, and Al Hajis in Ruwi, Sharaf DG and Noon carry it.
  • MOJ's reading follows the brand's pyramid and is one of the cheapest 30 ml bottles on the Oman store.

What Club de Nuit Intense Man is

Club de Nuit Intense Man, CDNIM to the people who collect it, is an eau de toilette launched in 2015 in a 105 ml black glass bottle, tall and rectangular, with a chain and a medallion across the front and an oversized jewelled cap that reviewers have called garish for a decade and buyers have ignored. Armaf's own pyramid is apple, bergamot, blackcurrant, pineapple and lemon on top, rose, birch and jasmine in the heart, and musk, ambergris, patchouli and vanilla at the base, the fruity chypre structure that Creed's Aventus made famous in 2010, with a smokier birch and a sweeter finish. No perfumer is credited, which is normal for the house. The brand has since added an eau de parfum, a Parfum, a Pure Parfum and an Extrait under the same name, all darker and longer than the original; the one people mean when they say Club de Nuit is the black EDT.

Who makes it: a Dubai family company, not a French house

Armaf belongs to Sterling Perfumes Industries, founded in Dubai in 1998 by Ali Asgar Fakhruddin, who is still chairman and chief executive, with his son Hamza as managing director; the company is part of Fakhruddin Holdings, a family group that dates to 1963. It began with twenty staff and 250 bottles a day and now runs a plant in the UAE the company describes as 1.2 million square feet, with the country's only UV metallising line, and claims more than 250,000 items a day and one Armaf fragrance sold every second, figures that are the company's own. The brand itself dates to about 2010 or 2011, with Oros by Armaf following in 2013 and a presence at Beautyworld since that year; it exports to more than 130 countries by its 2025 count and has pushed into airport retail since 2022, with a counter at Bahrain Duty Free from July 2025. In 2026 it named the Bollywood actor John Abraham its global ambassador. The house positions Armaf as homegrown luxury French perfumery; the first half of that is the true part, and it is the part that matters here: the bottle Omanis buy as an Aventus alternative is made ninety minutes from the border.

Why Oman buys it

Three reasons, and the first is the one everyone says out loud. It smells like Aventus. ScentAdvice calls it probably the most popular Creed Aventus alternative on the market; Bespoke Unit says it mirrors Aventus beautifully, less refined and at a much lower price; a Basenotes thread wonders why Creed has never sued; we found no legal action and no statement from Creed, so none is claimed. The second reason is the price gap: Faces lists Creed Aventus at AED 1,399 for 100 ml, not available when we checked, and Club de Nuit Intense Man at AED 170 for 105 ml, about an eighth. The third is that it is a Gulf product with a Gulf award: Beautyworld Middle East, the region's own trade fair, named it Consumer Fragrance of the Year on October 31, 2022, chosen by a public vote, and the company's chairman called it a very bold fragrance that makes an instant statement. The Sniff Test aggregates more than 25,000 reviews of it at 4.1 out of 5. In Oman the searches are "club de nuit", about 320 a month, and "club de nuit intense man", about 260, both at low difficulty, which means no Omani page has claimed them; an Omani retailer's blog calls it the most talked-about affordable men's fragrance in the region, and our own product page in the UAE has been shown for the full name 730 times since May. It is the eighth most searched men's fragrance in the Sultanate, and sits in that place in our best perfumes for men in Oman list.

The Club de Nuit line

What began as a pair, Club de Nuit Man and Club de Nuit Woman, with the Intense Man in 2015 and an Intense for women, has become the biggest line in Gulf perfumery. Urban Man came in 2017, Milestone in 2019, Sillage in 2020, then 2022 brought the Intense Man Parfum, the Urban Elixir, Untold and Blue Iconic, 2023 Club de Nuit Oud, 2024 Precieux I and a second Limited Edition Parfum with cufflinks, 2025 the Intense Man Extrait and the Extreme Edition. In 2026 came Intense Overdose, an extrait fronted by John Abraham, then Elite, Iconic Extrait, Intenso Fuego and a Bling Gold Edition shown at Beautyworld Dubai in October. Imperiale exists with no firm year. Two corrections to what you will read elsewhere: Milestone is 2019, not 2020, and there was no Parfum in 2020; the Limited Edition Parfum is 2021 and the standard Parfum 2022. MOJ reads the original Intense Man only, and the Aventus it answers is in our Creed guide.

What it costs in Oman

Armaf has no shop or counter of its own in Oman and Ounass Oman could not be read, so the rial price comes from a Muscat retailer: Al Hajis Perfumes in Ruwi listed the 105 ml eau de toilette at OMR 11.500 on sale and OMR 17.000 at full price in October 2026, with stock changing between visits; Sharaf DG Oman and Noon Oman list it with prices we could not read. In the UAE, Faces has the EDT at AED 170, the Limited Edition Parfum at AED 610 and the Intense for women at AED 145, and Armaf's own site sells the EDT in dollars at about USD 50. Our where to buy guide covers the Muscat counters. If a marketplace lists the black bottle at OMR 4, it is not the black bottle.

The MOJ reading

Our Club de Nuit Intense Man A follows the brand's pyramid: pineapple, blackcurrant, lemon and apple on top, birch, jasmine and rose in the heart, musk, ambergris, patchouli and vanilla at the base. It is our own composition inspired by the original, in 30, 50 and 100 ml at OMR 2.500, 3.300 and 5.500, every size available on October 28, 2026, and at 2.500 the 30 ml is one of the cheapest bottles on the Oman store. The birch keeps it dry in Omani heat where sweeter fruit scents turn to syrup, so it works from the office to a Thursday night most of the year; two sprays, because it carries. It sits in our perfumes for men collection, and the ten bottles Oman searches for most, with Aventus at the top of them, are in our best perfumes in Oman list.

Should you buy the original or the reading

If you want the black bottle, the chain and the medallion, buy the original: at OMR 11.500 to 17.000 for 105 ml from a Muscat counter it is already one of the cheapest famous fragrances in the country and there is no argument against it. If you want the pineapple and birch idea in a 30 ml for the glovebox or the gym bag, or you have never smelled the Aventus style and want to know before buying a bottle you will wear for a year, the MOJ 30 ml at OMR 2.500 is that. If what you actually want is Aventus, our Creed guide has the reading of it and the honest difference. Stock changes, so the product page is the final word.
